Back story

We moved into our first house on my birthday in 2019, and in 2020, we celebrated with a small group of people both our home and my birthday. We played a few games outside but I quickly noticed we needed small tables to put down our drinks while playing certain games. I found a few wood pallets and thought this was a great opportunity to create something useful at a very low cost.

For this project, I used:

16 #8 Screws – 1 1/2″

How I went about it

  1. Take the pallets apart

If the project took about 6 hours of work, carefully taking apart two pallets must have been about half of those hours. Using a mix of hammer, rubber mallet, crowbar and even a reciprocating saw, I carefully took apart each piece.

  2. Cut and clamp

I cut down some pieces I liked together then glued and drilled the boxes together.

  3. Add legs

Using some other pieces of my pallet wood, I cut down pieces to make some legs and gave the top a light sanding.
