Perfect snug dados
- Measure where you want the dado to start and add a stop block to a cutting or cross-cut sled to align the blade.
- Place the piece you want inside the dado between the stop block and the work piece. This will ensure the dado ends at the right place. Make the first cut.
- Remove the spacer.
- Because most blades are 1/8 thick, place a 1/8 drill bit between the stop block and the work piece and make the second cut. Make sure the drill bit is the same size as the saw blade.
- Remove everything in between
