Setting up a

New breaker and power outlet

Basics :

  • Black: Incoming (Positive)
  • White: Outgoing (Negative)
  • Copper: Ground (Neutral)

Installation :

    1. Breaker
      1. Wrap negative (white) around screw in the panel
      2. Wrap ground (copper) around screw in the panel next to negative
      3. Plug positive onto the breaker, under the screw
    2. Outlet
      1. Identify screws and cables
        • Green screw: ground (neutral)
        • Same side: negative
          Pro Tip : This is the longer plug of the power outlet
        • Opposite side: positive
      2. Screw metal plate (collet) through the end where the electric cable will come though, keeping the cables in place.
      3. Make a loop and screw, passing the open side in the direction you will screw.
      4. Screw in plug (ground up)
      5. Screw on plate cover
    3. Insert breaker in place, starting with the exterior, then center
    4. Fire up that bad boy !
